Fourteen years after the beloved original, Incredibles 2 (2018) picks up immediately where the first film ended, delivering a smart, action-packed sequel that explores modern family dynamics through a superpowered lens. The film ingeniously flips the traditional roles: Helen Parr, aka Elastigirl (voiced with perfect determination by Holly Hunter), becomes the public face of a campaign to legalize superheroes, leaving her husband Bob, Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson), to manage the chaos of home life with a moody teen, a speed-obsessed pre-teen, and a baby Jack-Jack whose multiplying powers are hilariously uncontrollable.

Director Brad Bird returns with the same sharp wit, stunning retro-futuristic visuals, and thrilling set pieces that made the original a classic. The animation is breathtaking, particularly in Elastigirl's motorcycle-based chases, which are masterclasses in tension and fluidity.
